unable to login to java visual administrator

Hi,

I am unable to login to java visual. I am able to login to R/3 but if i enter the same credentials for SLD, IR or ID an error msg saying that the user id or password is incorrect pops up.

try the role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN in SU01.

The role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN has been provided to the user id. Do we need any specific profile for that role.

Hi Miten,

if you don't want to use the user J2EE_ADMIN, you'll have to create a new connection entry in Visual Administrator with a user having the role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN, the hostname of your machine and port 5xx04, where xx is the instance number. No extra user profile is required.

For login to visual admin, u need role similar to user J2EE_ADMIN. A normal XI developer ID wont work.
