Sales order does not allow make-to-order production

Hi

I am getting a folliwng error when i am running MRP (MD50)

"Sales order does not allow make-to-order production"

I suspect there is an error in requirement class and type i am using. It is basically Make-to-order Project scenario.

Could someone help me or let me know the steps w.r.t. requiement class settings.

Hi Kalpesh,

Please go through the stepes involved in the availability check you set up for Make to order

IMG>Sales and Distribution>Basic functions > Avialability check and Transfer of requirements> Transfer of requirements

First you difine Reqirement type for Make to order and assign that requirement type to your Item category

chek the material master mrp view 3. strategy grp field. check if its 20.

Yes, it is 20. I even tried with 21 (Make-to-order prod./ project settlement), but giving same error.
