Import Transport File

Hi,

Please tell me how to import the TMS file into the system? I have a file, having extension .D15, which contains some objects. Now, I want to import those objects from that file into SAP system. Please guide me..

Hi Varun,

transports consist on two transport files; a cofile and a datafile; if you want to import data to a system using TMS you need to copy the cofile and datafile from the source directory to the target directory usually \usr\sap\trans\<sid>\cofile and \usr\sap\trans\<sid>\data; cofiles look like K<transport_number>.<sid> and datafiles R<transport_number>.<sid>

Once the files are copied to the target directory, go to STMS -> Extras -> Other requests -> Add; and just enter the numer of the transport; this will add the transport to the transport queue; then just import the transport.

Just to add to Juan's reply.

In case you are not sure about the transport number... it is start with D15K<transport number> .
