Hi All

We are in the process of importing IDocs into PI system. We are maintaining software components based on legacy system.

We have two oprions to imports idocs into software components

1. Import all idocs into common software component (In this case i am thinking with respect to transports)

2. Import to respective legacy software component

Could you please suggest best approach?

Thanks

Sai

U may use any approach as it ll not affect ur scenario working or its performance. It is just a way to keep ur IR clean. For that, 2nd approach is logical. But practically it doesn't have any adavantages over the other approach.

Thanks prateek.

Actually we have some idocs common across sofwtware components. Thats why we are planning go for common software component which can maintain all ECC objects.

If we maintain like this, is there any problem in test and production mainly during transports- dependency from one SWC to common SWC.

Thanks

No. There wont be any problem in terms of transport. U can go ahead with maintaining a common SWC
