program AI_RUNTIME_<SID> not registered

Hello,

We're doing the post-installation tasks of XI 3.0

We've created the following RFC destinations in the ABAP environment:

AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER

AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER

LCRSAPRFC

SAPSLDAPI

When we test the AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER everything is ok, but we get this error with the other three:

"Error opening an RFC connection" and in the detailed error I get this --> "TP AI_RUNTIME_AAA not registered"

If anyone can help with this we´ll be very glad

Pablo

Pablo,

Check if SAPJSF password is right for other 3 JCo in Visual Admin. I feel you had entered the wrong password. That is the only possibility.

Did you create them in the J2EE visual admin -> Cluster -> Server -> Services -> JCo RFC Provider ?

If not create them it will work.

On the j2ee administration tool we're getting this error

"Error adding bundle, see LOG for details!"

but, we don't know where that log is

Thanks and Regards

If you follow the installation guide properly you will not get any error. I have done it numerous times with no problems.

Do you have the inst. guide ?

Yes, we have the installation guide and we've been following it step by step. But when we reached to this step we got stuck. We did the more than twice in case we had omitted something, but we still get the same error

Thanks

Hello Pablo!

I had the same problem, I entered all the data according to the document but it didn't work, finally I restarted the SAP XI server and after that it worked, don't know why.

Good luck!

Hi Pablo

Did You ever solved this issue?

I Have currently the same issue, when trying to add a

We ran into this issue on a new XI system install and discovered that the SAP role that was assigned to SAPJSF (or PI_JCO_RFC) had not been generated yet. The role in question was SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO. After our Security team generated the role - the install procedure worked as documented.

FYI - we pulled the RFC authorization issue from the Visual Administrator log on UNIX.
