Planned dates?

Former Member

Hello,

I have a simple project with one phase and one task inside there. I put the the planned date for the project, so the task dates inherit them, as expected.

The problem happens when in Aditional Data (for the task) I put the actual start and finish dates. When I do this, the planned dates are overwritten with the actual dates! So I'm not able to compare the planned dates vs. actual dates for the task....

Do you have any suggestions please?

Best regards, Gustavo

Hello All,

The requirment was known at SAP, and there is Badi method to allow you decide, if the actual dates should be taken into account or not. See note 977500.

If you would like the scheduling ignore the actual dates, just implement the Badi, set the Parameter

o RV_MOVE_ELEMENT

0: Actual dates are taken into account

1: Actual dates are ignored during the scheduling

Kind regards,

Hi, Gustavo,

Here are a couple of suggestions.

1) Use versions/snapshots. Take a snapshot of the project when you want to establish the baseline. Use the compare functionality to see how well the actual dates met the planned dates.

2) See note 928971 - this is not an exact match, but it leads me to think you would need to send a request to SAP asking for a similar type of modification.
