SAP RF Issues with Chain Transactions - Multiple Transactions

Former Member

We have are calling HUP1, HUMO and few transactions from the RF Guns. Basically we want to Scan a Serial Number and then assign it to a handling unit. But the HU is not created and at the scan (one scan)we are doing multiple things like Creation of HU, Assigning Serial Number, Doing a GR and a TO. We have an issue that it goes from the First Screen to the next but for the transactions which had no screens it did commit the work, almost seems like it did not work.

This happens only when tested thru Guns, when tested on the system it works. PLEASE REPLY!!!

Hello Christoph,

Below are the answers:

what do you use for display the RF Transaktion on the mobile device?

SAPConsole, WebSapConsole, JAVA WebDynpro or ITSmobile?

Do you mean format? 16X20 for hand helds, Telnet Server and SAP Console.

What device do you use?

We use Intermec guns.

-- The thing is that Single Transactions are working fine. It is only the Chain transactions which is causing the issue. They are not an issue when we use the Gui, but when we run it on the Guns we have the issue. We have tried Explicit Commits, Waits with Times etc. But it still doesn't work.

Any suggestions? -- First of all do chain transactions work on the Guns? Does anyone have any examples of them?

How are the Chain Transactions developed?

ABAP Statement:

CALL Transaction...?

Dont forget you have just a special number of modis

you can use. (Use SAPGUI open more Windows and you will

see, that you can open not more than 8 Modis by default)

If not and for more I must connect to the system and see the coding.

Bye

Christoph,

We were using BDC's and we went away from that and are using Standard FM's. We are able to make it to work. We think that the issue was because some of these transactions, though running in background had TAB Strips and RF Guns do not handle Tab strips.

Let me know if you think something else could have happened. But as of now we are considering this one closed. Thanks for your replies.
