Hi Markus

You should not kill your gw

But if you do, then the gwrd process is automatically restarted by the dispatcher process. The -apptrc option does append the trace output to the actual file dev_rd. Without the option the dev_rd is moved to dev_rd.old and a new file is created.

However i cannot explain why the -help option lists it as -appctrc. -appctrc doesn't seem to exist at all.

sidadm> gwrd -help
call gwrd with following parameters:

pf=<profile> : Specify Name of parameter file
[-dp] : Internal connect to R/3 dispatcher
 [-appctrc] : Append trace files
 [-force] : Force start up
[-a] : Attach to existing shared memory
 [-help] : Print argument help
 [-V] : Print release

Best regards
