SAP Migration

Hi,

I am doing a heterogenous system copy (migration) for one of our systems with source as ECC6.0-Windows-ora and target is ECC6.0-Unix-Ora.The source database size is around 100 GB.Can any one tell me if I do a database independent system copy what will be the size of the migration export.Also if I uncheck the check box ->use database specific tools during the export phase is that what is called independent datbase copy.I am a bit confused please help.

Hi Max,

Generally the compression ration is 10:1 while performing the export, so in your case it will be 10-15GB approx.
