Authorization for Password Maintenance in Channels in ID

Hello,

We are trying to restrict a user id which should be able to only

maintain passwords in communication channel in ID. This user id should not be able to start/stop channels or any other change activity.

We are not able to do this.

What is the correct authorization object to restrict the user for only password change activity?

Actually, i want handover the user id and password maintenance activity to some one who is not a System Administrator. For this, i have created one user id and want to attach authorization which him/her only to maintain password in communication channel.

I do not want to use standard user ids PI*.

I am not sure if you are asking is possible.

The XI/PI authorsiations are detailed as follows:

If you give the role: SAP_XI_DISPLAY_USER they can only display the data, but this limits both the Integration Repository and Integration Diretory would be affected.

You may need to look at the detail of this role to try and limit or increase the authorisations.

Hi,

Create user using SU01 and give him authorization: SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR_J2EE along with Display authorization. He will be able to configure things in ID (including passwords etc).
