hi,
can any one send me step-by-step method to transport mech in xi using file level and cms level
Hi Hari,
These all are basic questions one click on SDN will give you many answers:
Two transport mechanism used:
1) File which is manual process
2) CMS which is automated process.
Transport mecahnism:
1) Select the export option for IR under tool.
2) It will give you two options wheter to go with File method or CMS
3) IT will give you three options. Transport whole SWCV,namespace or selected component.
4) Once you finish with it it will give you the file name with .TPZ extension.
Take that file from File server and import it in to QA with inport option.
Same process has to be followed for ID objects.

Once you have created SLD in Dev below transport mechanism is used for transporting the obj from DEV to QA and PROD:
Transport mechanism
1. Create Technical System and Business Systems for the QA system.
2. Create Transport Groups in the Business System.
3. Create Transport Targets in the Source Business SYstem.

Your SWCV can be exported and imported using TPZ files into the IR.
The ID also use TPZ files and as the objects are imported , the business system details will be filled up .
