Why SAP Uses Java

Hi Everyone,

Would anyone let me know, why SAP has chosen only JAVA to develop adapters, i.e, on J2EE Engine,

for defining User defined functions using Java, for Mapping - Use Java Mappings etc.

Hi Varun Reddy.K!

I think because it is an open standard, it allows other developers that do not know ABAP to use the system, and it has many already developed functions. It make interoperability between external systems easier.

Matias.
