Dear Experts,
I am trying to edit a PDF file in the Netweaver Developer Studio.
Can anybody tell me how can I import and edit it in the Netweaver Developer Studio?
I am trying to do some editing.Eg. adding action buttons, adding input fields etc to the PDF file.
If somebody has previously done such things or have some idea, I would like to hear from your experiences.
Many thanks
Rgds,
Sudeep
Hi,
First of all I woul like to know whether you have installed Adobe Life Cycle Designer or not.
Please follow these steps
1. Create one Java Project
2. Create one view
3. Assign one interative UI element to it.
4. Edit the interactive form
5. It will open up the Adobe Lifecysle Designer
6. Then from the menu you can import the PDF files directly
There are many tutorials available in SDN. Please go through them

Hi Satya,
Thank you for the immediate response.
Now I can import the pdf files and edit them.
However there is a problem.
I can only open the pdf files which I created by the developer studio.
When I open the pdf files those created by a scanner, they appear blank. However, when I open the same files with acrobat reader, the contects in the file appear.
I will be very thankful if you could help me in this.
Many thanks

Hi Sudip,
This will not work for scanned PDF files because the scanned object is stored as images in the PDF file so if you try to import the Scanned PDF, the object will be dispalyed as images in the designer.
I think it will be very easy to design the same page using Adobe Life Cycle Designer.
Most complex page can be designed withing one day.
Cheers
Satya
