Hello,
I am new to SAP (doing J2EE development on IBM's WebSphere last 6 years) and I'm struggling with a lot of issues.
I've found SDN very useful but sometimes it would be nice to get official help from SAP. I've noticed that sometimes an SAP person will answer a post on NDS but you can't guarantee that your post will be reviewed and answered by an SAP person.
Is there an "official" process for requesting technical support from SAP?
Thanks
Hi David,
http://service.sap.com is the SAP Service Marketplace. At http://service.sap.com/notes you find the official SAP Notes. And you can use http://service.sap.com/message to send an Message to SAP. This is the official Support chanel. If you don't have yet an Service Marketplace account ask your Basis Administrator, he can get one for you.
When you have your account check out http://service.sap.com/tcs where you can get your SAP Passport which is a Client Certificate which can also be used to sign on to SDN using this certificate.
Regards
Gregor

I tried assigning "answered question" to Gregor Wolf's response but got a message saying "error assigning points"
Maybe Gregor doesn't work for SAP anymore. Either way, what he suggested answered my question.
