Hi All,
Can anyone pls help me in understanding how to implement digital signatures in DMS.
I have used status network in which for one of the status I have set doc status as RELEASED and also I have used this option "SignStrat" for which following is the error msg "you must set an audit indicator and lock status for digital signature"
My requirement is while changing every statuses system shud ask for digital signature/approval only then it has to change to next status.
Please provide me necessary inputs.
Thanks
Manoj
Have you set up a signature strategy?

Hi Espen,
For a particular document type,i have created a status network consisting of 4 statuses.
1.work request - status type set is Primary status and no
signstrat is set for this status type.
2.inwork - status type set is Locked status and
signstrat is "only one signature"
3. released - status type set is Locked status and
signstrat is "only one signature"
4. Archieve - status type set is Archived status and no
signstrat is set for this status type.
if apart from this if some additional settings are need then pls let me know.
Thanks,
Manoj
Hi,
As per your requirement, Do the following configurations.
Transaction Code : SPRO
IMG Menu -> Cross-Application Components -> Document Management -> Approval -> Define Authorization Group
Define Authorization Group
Define Individual Signature
Define Signature Strategy
Assign Individual Signature
Transaction Code: DC10,
Goto Define document types,
Select the appropriate Document Type,
Goto Define document status,
Select the appropriate Status,
In that screen,
Enable the "Content Version" attribute.
Select the "status type" as "S"
Do these confgurations and let me know in case of any issues.

Hi,
I have done the following settings in SPRO,
Define Authorization Group
Define Individual Signature
Define Signature Strategy
Assign Individual Signature
while the settings under DC10 were already done.
like previous again the same warning msg (in yellow) is being displayed with the following message.
"You must make a Digital Signature for this status."
Please help in getting solution for the above said issue.
Thank,
Manoj
Hi,
If all the settings are done. Then this will work properly.
as the otehr member said, If you are getting the Warning msg in DIR screen, when changing the Document status. Press enter key one more time it will ask for the password. Enter the password. Thus the digital signature get complete.

What is the signature method used in the signature strategy? It should be : System signature with authorization by SAP User ID and Password.
Also check user details and authorizations using t-code SU01.
In DC10 for this particualar status, the status type should be "S" locked, and Fld sel should be optional or no entry.Make sure that the SignStrat is used for this status.
Let me know if this resolves the issue.
You need to add those to flags for the status you want to have signature on.

Manoj,
If you want to use digital signatures for each status do the following procedure
1) Define signature strategy for each status
2) Select status detail and assign signature stragey
3) Under 'Attributes' select 'Content version'
4) Select the 'Status type' as 'Locked'
