I am facing one error message at time of invoicing that is "The billing type could not be determined".

Also please check the item category is relevant for billing @ VOV7. and the sales document type can be billed with any billing type? @ VOV8.

EVERY THING IS OK BUT TILL I AM FACING SAME PROBLEM (ACTUALLY IT IS ORDER BASE RETURN INVOICE "RE" BUT I WANT TO CONVERT IT TO DELIVERY(LR) BASE INVOICE,I HAVE MAINTAIN COPY CONTROL FROM LR TO RE(VTFL),MAINTAIN BILLING TYPE IN RE IN RE ORDER TYPE(VOV8),MAINTAIN ITEM CATEGORY "DELIVERY RELATED (VOV7) )

in the corresponding sales document type VOV8 tcode maintain the billing document which u want to invoice and check ur entry may be present in VTLA tcode or not

kindly check the copy control settings at VTFL or VTFA. check whether the entry is avialable for ur combination.

in vov8 kindly check if u have maintained the billig type for the sales order type- order related or deliviery related. also make sure if the copy control is maintained,

Check the billing doc type (Billing Tab) in sales doc control settings.
