F type method of Host Spool access method

Is this method still need to use/proccess by the spooler workprocess in the sap system? or it direct go to the user's frontend's printer?

Hi Jeffy,

Method F uses SAPLPD... the one that goes directly to the printer is Method G.

Hi Jerry,

The device type 'F' determines that the spool request will be sent to the operating systems spooler.The program saplpd will be used as a medium between sap and the operating system spooler.The spool request will be first generated with in the SAP system itself.
