Idoc Tunneling: use of IDX2

Hi,

i'm implementing an idoc tunnelling scenario in XI from SAP to SAP systems.

I configured only the receiver channels (Idoc Adapter, of course); sender agreement and sender channel are not necessary.

The question is: when i load metadata in IDX2, under which port i have to collocate the Idoc structure? Under the sender port system or under the receiver port system?

Thank you for help.

bye bye!

Hi,

Let us break your problem in two parts i.e.

1. Case First SAP1 to XI

2. Case Second XI to SAP2

Now since first of all IDoc should reach to XI system from SAP1 system and for that you should have an IDoc metadata in XI, So in this case you will be loading the IDoc metadata from SAP1 system (i.e. sender system).

For this you need to create a port in XI by using the tcode IDX1 but before this you need to create on RFC destination in XI using the tcode SM59, this RFC destination will point to SAP1 system, this RFC will be used inside the port to load the IDoc metadata into XI system from SAP1 system.

I hope I have given a logical ans to your ques.

Thank you...

I was a bit confused because i thought that it was necessary to load the metadata from SAP2 system, also.

Bye bye...
