hello,
I succeeded in creating a track but when I try to import the sca-files
sap-jee, sap_buildt and sap_jtechs (all SP 11) in the change management
service (cms) in the tab "development", I get the status "import failed".
The files are placed in the folder "JTrans\CMS\inbox" which is the import
folder and of course I checked them in at the tab "check in" of the cms
before I tried to import them.
When I view the logfile of the repository-import I get the message
"import failed, because the sources are not contained in the archive".
my versions of the files are: SAPBUILDT11_0-10003479.SCA
SAPJEE11_0-10003469.SCA and SAPJTECHS11_0-10003467.SCA.
I tried the import with the sca-files of sp 13 before with the same result.
We are working with ERP 2005 NetWeaver 2004s (7.0) with J2EE SP 13.
what could be the solution?
Hello Thorsten,
let me summarize a little bit:
1. you are running JDI on SPS13
2. you have defined your software component "mycomp" at the SLD
3. you have declared the three SCs BUILDT, JTECHS, JEE as
dependent SCs for "mycomp" at the SLD
4. after these you did an "update CMS" at the "domain data" configuration
5. you created your track and choose for your SCs "mycomp" as software component.
and now:
6. you added here also the three SCs BUILDT, JTECHS, JEE to the
track data? You don't have to do this, here you only define the SCs
you are developing. You already defined the usage of these SCs
in the SLD at step 3.
In older Versions of the JDI (e.g. SPS10) you saw after the choice
of "mycomp" inside the track data also the dependent SCs. This is
not the case any more in SPS13.
Summary: only define your dependent SCs at the SLD, update CMS,
remove the definition from you track directly and try again.

Karsten

I solved the problem now.
Thank you for your answers. My fault was that I add as SC to the track the three sca´s and not my application SC. silly mistake

HI Thorsten,
I followed the same steps as mentioned below
1. you are running JDI on SPS12
2. you have defined your software component "mycomp" at the SLD
3. you have declared the three SCs BUILDT, JTECHS, JEE as
dependent SCs for "mycomp" at the SLD
4. after these you did an "update CMS" at the "domain data" configuration
5. you created your track and choose for your SCs "mycomp" as software component.
and now:
6. When i added the developed component it brought all the required (JTECHS,BUILDT,JEE)components in the Landscape configurator.
But the problem is when i go to Transport Studio and checked in in check-in tab and after went to development tab and imported and after sometime it is saying import failed. And when i go to NWDS it is bringing all the scs in my trck but there are no libraries in my scs
Please help me in resolving this issue
Hi Thorsten,
just look at your track definition please and make sure that the three SCAs don't have the box checked in the column "developed".

hi karsten,
thanks for your advice.
"just look at your track definition please and make sure that the three SCAs don't have the box checked in the column "developed"."
I can only add the sc sap_buildt without the box "developed" checked and not the two others (sap_jtechs und sap-jee) in the cms.
what can I do?
adding all the three sc´s with the box "developed" checked worked fine.
Hi Thorsten,
I guess there is something wrong with your track definition. It seems you put the three SCs in your track as "developed SCs" instead only defining the dependencies to your own developed SC inside the SLD.

Hi,
It seems that the archives are corrupt.
Open the archive using winzip and check if it has proper MF file.
Else get the fresh copy downloaded.

Go to http://service.sap.com/swdc
Support Packages and Patches-> SAP NetWeaver-> SAP NETWEAVER-> SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 (2004S)->Entry by Component->Development Infrastructure
Choose the appropriate version of package and download.
