Hi all,
i am facing a problem in XI as i am unable to import software component version . i am getting error "no autorization to import softaware compnent vesion" as i have created new Software Component in SLD and i have Administrator authorization as well as Developers too .
one more question as i have created new software component in SLD then this created software compnent should be visible in the first page of Integration Repository under Object Tab ? if yes then i am not able to see this Soft Comp and how can i see it .
regards,
praveen
Hi,
First of all you need to have the following two comonents in your IR.
1. SAP ABAP
2. SAP BASIS
These will be imported by your basis team when the server is set up.
After that to import your oen software components, you have to follow the path.
TOOLS >>> Transfer from System Landscape Directory >>>>
Import Software Component Versions
Then select the component that you have created.
hope it helps.

Only developers authorization at IR is required. No special authorizations are there specific to import of SWC
The SWC u created in SLD will bve visible in IR only after the import. To see it, simply import it
Also do Environment -> Clear SLD data cache

Hi Praveen,
Do you have the Repository adin rights also in addition to the SLD admin.
Please ask ur basis person to check.
If u r urself handling this then check in su01 and assign all admin rights to urself.
You will be able to see objects(SWCV) in Repository only after importing from SLD and activating the changes.
I hope it helps.

Sumit
