Hi Aman,
Node : When there comes a change in the structure hierarchy, its called the node.
Element: All those comes inside the Node are called elements.
These both joins together and forms the XML format...
White - Attribute or element is not assigned
Red - Mandatory - attribute or element n=must be assigned to complete the mapping
Green - Not necessary/ mapping done
Yellow - Incomplete mapping - mapping in the data flow editor is not complete
Icon with an arrow is the attribute, Icon with Red Spot shows the element with occurrence
