Hi all,
I have a WebAS 6.40 SP14 on my local machine and wanted to test Adobe Interactive Forms.
So I followed the steps Achim Hauck provided in his blog (/people/achim.hauck/blog/2005/02/04/my-struggles-with-the-adobe-document-services-in-was640).
I installed Adobe Reader 7.0 and the ACF file.
Then I chose Adobe Document Services(51030277_5.zip) from the Download Center and used sapinst.exe in order to install it.
During installation I got an error that the SDM Service would not have been reachable.
As I chose "Ignore", the installation doesn´t seem to be completed successfully.
I am not able to request the page "http://localhost:50000/AdobeDocumentServices/Config". The ressource doesn´t exist.
Can you think of what was going wrong during installation? Is SP14 compatible with ADS 1.0?
Any hints?
Thanks a lot,
kind regards,
Robin
Robin,
ADS should work with SP14. but your installation wasn't successful, so the Config-link can't work.
you have to install the two ADS files to your server again.
You can do this for example by calling the remotegui script from your sdm installation directory and add the files
ADSSAP<version info>.SCA
ADSSAPOFF<version info>.SCA
manually.

Hi,
https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/weblogs.sdn?blog=/pub/wlg/1232. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] is good blog, ADS should work with WAS 6.4 sp14.My suggestion once again freshly download the ADS and install on WAS, install Adobe reader 6.2 or higher version where your NWDS(IDE) is installed.
hope this time it works
