Hi All,
Please give me the difference between BS and business service
Hi,
Business System
Business systems are logical systems that function as senders or receivers within the SAP Exchange Infrastructure. You configure business systems in the SAP System Landscape Directory (SLD). A business system is always associated with a technical system (here: SAP Web AS ABAP system).
Business Service
Using a business service, you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces.
You usually use business services when configuring cross-company processes. In this case, you only make your interfaces known to the business partners involved and either do not make any details about your own system landscape available, or only specific details.
For example, you can define RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (PIPs) as business services.
Hope this will clarify you.

Say you are connecting to a SAP R/3 System, then you need to have this R/3 Application defined as a Business System in the XI SLD.
A Business Service is used when you need to connect to Non-Application scenarios like say you need to read a file and transfer it to a database for example.

Hi,
Services can be Business Services,Business Processes or Business Systems.
A Business Service represents an abstract ,addressable unit.Business services are used in cross company processes.Using business service ,you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces.
A Business system addresses a business system as a sender or receiver of messages.Unlike business services ,they represent a specific (application) system in the system landscape. It comprises information about the inbound(sender) interfaces and outbound(receiver) interface and the software component versions of the business system
This will help you

Amruth,
A Business System is something that physically exists.
For example, if you want to download a file from a system ABC, by using File Adapter and then want to update the content of this file into R/3 database by using RFC, then the system ABC and the R/3 will be your Business Systems, i.e they physically exists. Business Systems are configured in SLD.
Business Service is mostly used in B2B scenario (cross-company), where you don't know the Business Systems of your partner. In other words business service will be used only for those partners which do not have a physical landscape set up. Business Services do not have an entry in SLD.
You can find more about it in just a single search, always try to find your problem on sdn first and if you do not get any satisfactory solution then you should post it on SDN.

Sarvesh

Hi Amruth !
A business service represents an abstract unit for addressing the senders and receivers of messages. You can use a business service to group interfaces.
It is useful to use business services when configuring cross-company process. Usually, the interface descriptions of the business partners involved are made publicly available. However, the system landscape of those involved is normally unknown, or only partly known, and cannot therefore be entered in the SLD (as a business system).

A business system is an actual application system in a system landscape. A business system (service) comprises information about the inbound and outbound interfaces and the software component versions of the business system.
You usually use business system services when configuring internal company processes.
