Hi Ragu,

Visual Composer is not limited to BI system. As VC decouples UI from the Data Services you can model dashboards UI using R3, Web Services or BI as data sources. In future versions of VC7.1 (and in the current version of VC7.0) you will also be able to connect to JDBC systems.

As long as your back end system provides the data you need for your dashboard, you can model it.

The way you use VC does not change if you use BI systems on other systems as data sources.

Shai

Hi Ragu,

1.) Of course you can, because you can connect several systems to SAP NetWeaver Portal resp. VC.

2.) You can download a trial of it in the download section of SDN:

[SDN Downloads|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloads]

You can download the CE and also a trial of NetWeaver 7.0 (which includes VC7.0)

3.) You have to connect your non-BI system to your portal resp. VC to get the data services into your model (depends on your VC version, how this could be done)

Hi,

I would like to clear up a difference between VC7.0 and VC/CE7.1:

The new version of Visual Composer (VC7.1) does not rely on portal to connect to R3 system and Web Services. In this version the R3 and Web Services are mapped through the NetWeaver administrator and not through the Portal.
