QC:- operation assigned component to be inspected

HI

MY SCENARIO IS

to manufacture a component (fert) A i need B and C (raw material)

i made routing for A which contains two operations 0010 and 0020 , and assigned for 0010 component needed is B

AND for operation 0020 component C wasassigned

AND FOR BOTH operation two different MIC was made

i need to inspect B and C NOW ,ie before processing the operation 0010 and 0020 with the charecterstics which are assined at routing operation.

ie,

before operation what is the chaercterstic of B

and after operation (0010) what is the charecterstic of B??

I think you want to inspect the material before using for production..... And record results for the same...isnt it ?

U can do one thing..

use inspection type for goods issue...02

when u issue the material for production order, lot is generated..u can record your results for same lot..and give UD.

For inspection after operation, use 03. when that operation is confirmed, lot is generated...record results & give UD..

Is it OK now?

we can do only RESULTrecording

not UD

Pls specify the error,Have you maintained inspection lot in QP01

You can activate inspection pints in routing. WIth this you will be able to enter as many times as you want for an inspection operation. So you could enter the results with Inspe point as "EFORE PRODN" and again after operation execution with another insp point, say, as "AFTER PRODN"

the result recording is happens for the BOM header material

not for the item

ie not for B and C

SO HOW CAN WE TAKE USAGE DECISION OF B and c

and we canot make usage decision for the inspection type03

it is not possible to take UD for B and C, only for A it is possible in STD SAP.

You can do the following...

Create a inpsection lot for material B and C before production start using insp type 89.

do the RR and UD for this inpscetion lots and proceed for issue..I see only this alternative.

Dear,

In routing of A, you have assigned CHAR 1 and 2 to inspect B and C resp

Hence use 03 type of insp type

System will create a insp lot for A during order release. Inspect and record against CHAR 1and 2.

Hi

You can do inspection type 03 ( inprocess inspection) if it is Discrete mfg.

But these inspected results will not get registered for B & C.

They will be registerd for main prodiuct i e.A only.

Can you please explain what is your exact scenario.

i want to make RESULT recording for B &C

I WANT TO TAKE result recording of B before doing the respective operation ie0010

1.then i need to make usage decession so that it can perform 0010 operation for the qc pass product B

2.THEN i will perform the 0010 operation and after that i need to take result recording of B AND I WANT TO MAKE USAGE DECSSION FOR THE B to pass / perform NEXTthe, ie,Ioperation 0020

Hi, you can create material code as per operation 0010 ,0020 that means you will first confirm material code with operation 0010 then material code with operation 0020 so that you can check your stock as well as quality.

I made process instruction catogeries but unable to indentify the right charecterstics

the requirement is to do the GI and inspection results to be enterd through pi sheet

iam generating controll receipe and respective pi sheet

on pi sheet i need the fields like quantity produced for the phase and some charecterstics like temperature

for that i tried with stanadrd pi categories

but unable to do proceed further

plz guide regarding the matter
