There is no specific prerequisite for proceeding with PPDS implementation if you have already implemented SNP. The main thing is to setup CIF for master and transaction data transfer that I think you already have done for SNP. You will need to carry out the following to carry out PPDS Heuristic based planning.
Basic Config - Global Settings, Planning Procedures, Heuristic Profiles, Heuristics (typically standard ones copied and parameters changed), Strategy Profiles, Planning Board Profile, Work Areas, Time Profiles, Overall Profile.
Master Data - Location, Product, Time Streams, Resources (with PPDS capacities), PDS or PPM, Procurement Relationships etc.
Refer to the help documentation and Best Practices which lists the config as well.
