fresh installation using old database

dear friends

IN BWD(3.5) server sap application not running but database is proper running , my target is i want fresh installation of the bw 3.5 using old database

please describe this is possible if possible please provide the steps

which password is required what is the installation step of sap application bw 3.5 using old database .

Hi,

Which database you are using?

you can install central instance on existing database,

DDIC password for client 000 is required.

download installation guide from

service.sap.com/instguides

select your OS and database

Dear kausal

we are using BW 3.5 Op-windows 2003 advansed server ,oracle 9.2.0.7 . only required DDIC password .

if i forget the ddic password , i know only sap* password .

can you describe step wise .

Hi,

ddic password is required,

you can not reset DDIC password at database level, generally people make sap* and ddic password same,

tryn to use sap* password for ddic when it's ask,

perfrom central instance installation for existing database -> give database sid , it's vary easy it's takes max. 30 min
