WinSock error on connect

Hi

I have tried to login to data manager & Import Manager with out giving password for Admin.I am getting an error

********WinSock error on connect*********

Even i tried to connect by giving $basis123 still getting the same error.What would be the porblem even if I try to change the password at Admin>>user ( left side pane below the table names in MDM console) where I can reset the password.If I give password also its taking to old default password & I dont know what was the password given initially.

hi,

********WinSock error on connect*********

1. check for the repository is loaded or not, if it is not loaded you will get winsock error, load the repository and log into import manager/ data manager, it will work.

2. The default user ID: Admin , Password : ( leave it blank), it will work.

try stopping the MDM server and restart when you get the Winsock error.

Hi Sri,

I also had same problems whenever I eneterd usename it gave me win sock error.

But after starting the Oracle listeners now its working fine.
