Replacing Workplace CUA with Identity Management

Hello Experts,

Our landscape consists of 2 SAP 46C Systems (Planning to Upgrade to ECC 6.0 in 3 months), BW 3.5, SAP Enterprise Portal 7.0.

RIght now SAP and BW systems are connected to Workplace CUA. And EP is connected to MS ADS LDAP Server.

As Workplace Servers are not supported in future, We are planning to implement SAP IM solution.

What would be the best solution for our landscape.

I didnt download and Install the software yet.

Can we replace our present Workplace CUA with Identity Management Solution?

This would be a a perfect almost out of the box implementation for you. If you take a look at:

This is a list of Use Cases that the SAP IDM profivioning framework supports/offers.

2 ABAP systems, a portal and Active Directory in the same ladnscape, is right along the mainstream lines of the product

Thanks for your response, I just downloaded the software and installed it.

We are planning to connect two SAP and one BW System to Identity Center. Connect LDAP Server to Identity center.

We use LDAP groups in Portal, So we want to use IC to perform Role assignments to SAP ABAP, BW and SAP EP. But continue to use LDAP as UME for EP.
