Backups in SAP

can anybody tell me how to perform backups in SAP?

Hi michell,

Just like to add,

First determine what type of backup you want to use.

then Perform backup using db13 and other backup programs.

Hii joseph in the thread sent by you those are the backups for MSSQL database but my datbase is Oracle so does Oracle also have same type of backups?

Backup of SAP is depends on database running underneth SAP.

So you required some Database knowledge to perform such task.

eg. Oracle

You need to configure certain files in order to run backup successfully and then you can use backup tool to perform the backup eg brtools, DB13, external tools, etc.

hope this will help a bit to understand backup in SAP.
