xMII Deployment Options

Hello Experts,

Can I deploy xMII on the XI installation? Since the xMII is a SCA file can I use the XI structure and use these systems together?

Hello Fabiano,

Technically since both XI and xMII run on netweaver suite, you could install xMII on the same system. Please make sure the system is properly scalled and sized, there could be performance degradation as XI is message intensive and xMII is memory intensive like caching.

can I use the XI structure Do you mean the file structure of XI or the actual repository layout?

There are no software conflicts in doing so only the hardware limitations of sustaining both applications. We recommend having xMII installed as close to the data your reporting from as possible which is why we recommend a distributed over centralized environment; whereas XI is recommended to be centralized over distributed.
