Hello all,

i know we can use existing XSDs and can use in our message interfaces but similarly can we use existing sample XML messages and create data types accordingly?

Thanks in advance.

No you cannot create the structure by only improting XML in XI by anyway.

In IR -- External Defination you can only import XSD, DTD and WSDL.

So if XML is coming then you have to create either a Data Type or XSD there is no other way.

Hi,

There are lot of XML editors which can help u to conver the XML to XSD file, that XSD can be imported and data type can be created.

Hello

One way i could think of is to use editor like Stylus to convert existing XML file into XSD and then import the same into XI.

Yes u r right but u need to use that XSD as a external definition not as a data type.

U need to import as external definition and use it as a data type strucutre. So this will avoid creating a data type strucutre in IR.
