Hi,
I installed a WebAs 6.40 Java standalone instance. (SP9)
Now I have patched it to SP13-stack.
IS there any seperate kernel patching required like in a ABAP WebAS or is the new kernel automatic installed with the SP13 SAPinst patching?
Thanks

Nope. Sounds like you're done

Thanks Mike, but there is no ABAP involved. This is a standalone Java WebAS (J2EE) installation.

Hi Adriaan,
SAPinst itself doesn't perform kernel patching so you'll have to download the kernel relevant to SP13 and apply it before processing with ABAP/J2EE patching (check service.sap.com/sp-stack for your level)
