Hi There,

One of our clients used a solution from a SAP partner. www.skytechnologies.com

Their product supported online and offline order entry on a variety of phones/PDA's, running windows or BlackBerry. It was also implemented very rapidly.

Check out their site as it may be the solution you're looking for.

Best Regards.

Hello Rajesh,

SAP offers a solution which is called Link: [Mobile-always connected|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-mobile?rid=/webcontent/uuid/20ffed54-9812-2a10-9fb5-cb973a37ba3b] [original link is broken]; for mobile phones.

This technology is a browser based solution with zero footprint.

The following device are supported for this solution:

BlackBerry Wireless Handheld 3.6 and higher (WML browser)

Pocket Internet Explorer for Pocket PC, Pocket PC 2002 and 2003

Nokia 9500 Communicator

Nokia 9300 Smartphone

All Nokia S60 devices (E-series) with release 3 feature pack 1, e.g. Nokia E90

All Nokia S60 with release 3 feature pack 0, with the limitation that CheckBox and CheckBoxGroup

does not work

SAP offers a standard solution in this area which is called Mobile Sales Online (MSOn).

You can find more information about MSOn in the following [presentation|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/70183eb1-a116-2a10-d3ad-ecd1830be3b6].

Mobile-always connected includes also the possibility to build your on browser based application in an easy way.

If you wan't to implement an Mobile-always connected application you need the following infrastructure

-Backend Server (example R/3)

-SAP NetWeaver Java ( Includes the Web Server to run the application )

No additional middleware is required.

If the Sales employees are using PDAs with Windows Mobile, maybe the Mobile - occasionally connected is also interesting for you. The advantage of this scenario is that the devices can run the applications even if they are not connected.

In this area SAP offers the application "Mobile Sales for Handhelds"

Best Regards,

Stefan

Hi,

please define Mobile Phones a little more in detail.

If it is a PDA with Mobile Phone Functionality, like the HTC Touch - running Windows Mobile 5, then Mobile Sales for HH would be the correct choice I guess.

If the client has just a Mobile Phone running a WebBrowser - as far as I know there is no such APP available at the moment. Check the solutions available for Blackberry - the rendering could be a problem, but at the end it could give you a solution.

On the other hand, cause it is an always On App - it should be possible to build that with WebDynpro Mobile specific for the client - if the Online Solution for Blackberry does not fit.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Oliver
