what cross divison. How is it possible in sap sd module. can any one give example of divison.

What about distirbution channes whole sale, retail, direct, whatelse wecan differentiate. please let me know this things

in va01 initial screen the Business user species(Headerlevel determined manually) doc type ex; TA/OR and Sales Area,

according to SalesArea definition, The combiniation of Single Sales Organization and Single Distriubution Channel and Single Division is called SalesArea, the Division that user specied here is called Header Division, and system assumes that the line items that are going to be specied in the order belongs to this Header Divsion, but according business customers can raise the purhcase order for diffierent items that belongs to different Division, so that, that is the business intereset to accept all items that belongs to different divsions in same sales order, or not, if business accepts to raise the sales order for all items that belongs to different sales order then one diviion should be mainted ex; '00', and it should be assigned to all sales area. then user can specify 00 as a header division so that system accepts provided in VOV8 of ex TA the value of the field "Check Division" i.e. no meesge, message, or Error message also controls,

and due to Cross Division '00' master data also can be shared.

Hi Nageshwar,

Cross division sales can be understood as the materials of different divisions are supplied to the customer through a single sales order. The configuration for this has to be made in sales document (VOV8). You will find the field called "check division" that controls how the system reacts during sales order processing when a division that is entered or proposed at the item level differs from the division in the document header. Hope this will solve your problem.

Sales Organization can be logically segregagted in to no of distribution channels, through which Goods and services are reached to customers, ex Factory Sales,DepotSales, Stockest aslo, "ThroughWhich"
