SSO using SAP GUI

Former Member

Hi,

Can someone point me to some documentation on how to configure SSO from the SAP GUI into ERP 2005? I am already using SPNego for SSO into the Portal. We would like to be able to click on a system from the SAP Logon and achieve SSO into that system.

I have seen notes 352295 and 150380. I also found a document titled "Unleash the Power of Single Sign-On with Microsoft and SAP", but it doesn't detail how to configure SSO.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Rick

Hi Rick,

Have you looked in the install guides for NetWeaver? There are detailed steps in there for setup on both the server and the client side (updating profile settings, which library files are needed and so on).

Hope that helps.

Hi Joe,

Can you tell me a specific document to read? I searched in the ABAP/Java install document for NW2004s and didn't find any references to Single Sign-On (SSO).

Best Regards,

Rick

You can use SNC to implement SSO using SAPGUI. You can find extensive documentation about SNC installation and configuration at help.sap.com. If your SAP servers are on AIX, you need a certified 3rd-party product to use SNC.

Hi Peter,

I have seen that help, but unfortunately our servers are all AIX. Thanks for the helpful reply.
