Meta Information

Hi Experts,

What is meant my Meta Information.

I saw this in Interface IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE. In this Interface the method GET_NODE_INFO description tells that

"Returns Meta Information About Node".

Can any one help me on this issue.

Hi Jasmine ,

Mata Information is some thing like meta data. that means data about the data. Node usually contains data, and meta info describes the property of the node that holds the data.

Node's meta info may contains informations like what all data that node can have, how many data that it can hold, which is the lead selected record in that node.

Eg: for displaying datas in a dropdown by key we used to set the values in the noe info not in the attributes, so when the drop down is displayed with the node info data. usually we use GET_NODE_INFO to read the values from the node info.
