Solution Manager Configuration

Hi,

I want to configure Solution manager for downloading and doing patch on my SAP servers. Please suggest best way to do this and what else i can configure on Solution manager for max. utilization of SOLMAN........

Hi,

Do one step at a time.

First to configure maintenance optimizer to donwload support packs, see to that your solution manager is on SP10 (Pre-Requisite for Maintenance optimizer). Then you need to activate the following BC sets.

BC Sets:

SOLMAN40_MOPZ_TTYP_SLMO_000

SOLMAN40_CHARM_PROXYFACT_001

EWA (Early watch alerts),System Landscape maintenance SMSY, CHARM (Change request Management), Maintenance optimiser, Service desk.E-Learning etc....

Hi,

You can use SM for system monitoring & analysis.

Also, you need to configure maintenance optimizer to download & apply the patches on SAP servers, you will get the details for this on service marketplace.
