Working with External Jars

Former Member

I am new to NWDS ( version 7.1 SP03 )

I am trying to import an external JAR file into my mobile application (for laptops).

I've searched through the forums and managed to find out a way by creating a resource DC and creating a dependancy to to the main DC.

However when I tried to deploy the application, the IDE threw an error saying that the meta-model for the resource DC cannot be found.

Is there another method where I can reference to an external JAR?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi,

I do not completely understanmd the problem... Is it not possible to import the JAR into the project and so deploy it with the app? In that case it is handeled like any other JAR as well. Be aware that you have only JKD1.1.8 while running on PDA with MI7.0 and older!

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

During design time it was possible to import the JAR into the project and the IDE was able to resolve it without any issues.

However when I built the project, it threw an error saying that the JAR file cannot be found.

Noted on the JDK But I am working on an application for laptops.
