Not using local SLD. How to set LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI?

Dear experts,

We are using an XI system on one server and a SLD on another for production.

For the development and quality we use the local SLD.

My question is: how to set the RFC destinations and other parameters.

- Transaction SLDAPICUST will point to the SLD server.

- RFC LCRSAPRFC points to the XI Profile on the XI Server (Correct?)

- RFC SAPSLDAPI points to the SLD server.

Is this correct?

Is this different for the parameters on the XI system as for other business systems? Or is it the same???

Cheers.

Hi,

I think you set them on installation time. LCRSAPRFC is of type tcp, and points to a program LCRSAPRFC_YOUR_SYS_ID. The same is valid for SAPSLDAPI. Both does not "point" to some system... you can check it yourself in your DEV and QA systems.

You need to configure the SLD host, port, user and pwd in tx SLDAPICUST, as you have done on DEV and QA, need only to change the host.

HI,

First to give u information regarding all the RFC destination which we need to maintain in XI.

Following were the list of RFC Destinations created during post installation configuration. Their relevance are as follows:

AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER

Points from the Integration Server to the mapping runtime. The program ID corresponds to the entry under JCo RFC provider for the J2EE Engine (used for the mapping runtime, value mapping, and the exchange profile).

AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER

Points from the Integration Server to the Integration Builder. The program ID corresponds to the entry under JCo RFC provider for the J2EE Engine (used to refresh the runtime cache).

LCRSAPRFC

The RFC destination LCRSAPRFC is required for the connection to the System Landscape Directory (SLD). It is used to read the exchange profile.

SAPSLDAPI

The RFC destination SAPSLDAPI is required for the connection to the SLD. It is used by the ABAP API.

INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI

For Cache Updates

NOw u need to do the configuration in SM59 transaction.
