NWDS for ecommerce SAP J2EE application

We are currently planning to start dcustomization of ecommerce application.

We are now defining the development environment.

Does any one could, please, tell me if NWDS is the right tool to develop for ecommerce plataform (J2EE)

or should I use and conventional java developer tool like Eclipse or NetBeans.

Hi Alexandre,

The SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio is actually based on Eclipse and therefore my recommendation would be to go for the NWDS. Apart from the standard Eclipse features that you can use in NWDS, you can also take advantage of the enhancement that we provide in the J2EE toolset.

Which version are you considering?

For example, the NWDS in CE SP3 is based on Eclipse 3.3 and uses WTP 2.0 and Dali 1.0.
