May,I know in what situations we need to use VISUAL COMPOSER and NWDS....

What is the advantage of using VISUAL COMPOSER

compared to NWDS

Visual composer is a modelling tool . It is mostly used in situation where we need to create UI with drag and drop and does not want to spent more time on UIs. Coding is very limited in VC and that is even mostly when we need to form formulas and conditions.

On the other hand NWDS can be used to develop different types of applications. We can create Web Dynpro aplications, J2ee applications, Portal applications etc using NWDS.

In situation where we need to write bussiness logic , we use applications developed in NWDS.

In situations where we need to develop mostly UIs that consume web services we use VC.

Hi rev,

Visual Composer is a model driven environment where u simply drag drop the models depending on the requirement and in simple words its all graphical.

NWDS on the other hand is a more versatile environment where u can deploy Java.J2EE, WebDynpro, CAF applications.

A simple way to understand it is by considering a simple scenario of consuming an enterprise service from ES workplace.
