Hi,

Recordset message is used to specify the number of records to be processed each time. For example you have specified 100 as recordset message for a file of 1000 recordsets then you can find 10 output files with timestamp added(depends on the condition for receiver adapter with Time stamp added).

The mere purpose of using recordset message is that to break the number of total records from the input file to be processed.

Hi Kalpana,

>(depends on the condition for receiver adapter with Time stamp added).

Recordset per message option is available in Sender File Adapter.

The option is not available in Receiver File Adapter.

Use is when the size of the incoming file is huge. In that case, this functionality is used to split the file. This way the memory load on the server is also reduced.

Hi Raghu,

Copied from SAP Help..

Under Recordsets per Message, specify the number of recordsets to be grouped together in a message. This entry is optional. The default value is *. In the default setting, all recordsets are included in a message.

If the number of recordsets in a document is greater than the number specified, then the adapter creates multiple messages from a document. The last message might then contain fewer recordsets than specified.

The best way to get answer to your question will be to search yourself.
