For down payment Network or WBS is mandatary?

Dear All,

To use down payment concept request Network or WBS element is mandatory? And without milestone billing can't use down payment?

Hi,

Downpayment is taken in FI. Downpayment request can be generated either through milestone billing or FI. With network/WBS you can raise a downpayment request. Cancel the Pop up for network/WBS when u assign the milestone.

Hi, In normal Standard SAP best bracice for the prepaynemets and downpayments through only milestones .but some company is following some other methods for the prepayments.but that method is not recomm

Hi,

Atleast without billing plans, downpayment cannot be used.

Again I think that WBS/Network/Activity is necessary for billing plans. Not sure about enabling billing plans without these.
