cfolders and ftp

Hi,

To integrate cfolders with ftp, do we just need a ftp server or any other tool like OFTP is required. Also how cfolder to ftp works.

Hi,

1.Install a FTP server on your machine. (File Zilla )

2.create a FTP user, set a home directory for the user give create folders authorizations.

3.Go to the network admin -> File storage of cFolders.

give the ip address of ur machine, basepath as "/" give the user and pwd.

4.Go to settings of user-> file storage.

activate file storage.

Once you have saved the settings, go to the home directory of the ftp user. you will see new folders created. place a file in the "incoming" folder.

Then create a new document in cFolders.

What is the port number to be used for local machine and How to create ftp user user id/pwd to access local machine.

Hi

when u install FTP server it will give a port number by default. mine was 14147. again this is configurable.

In FileZilla when u install the server there will be a user icon, use it to create the user.

Hi Murugesh,

As you have given the steps for the integration of Cfolders and FTP. I got stuck up with a point

Things which I have done .

1] Created a USER in FTP server with the authorizations.

2] checked it by entering into "SAPFTP.EXE"  .

3] Created a home directory.

After this you said in the 3rd point

3.Go to the network admin -> File storage of cFolders.

   give the ip address of ur machine, basepath as  "/" give the user and pwd.

4.Go to settings of user-> file storage.

   activate file storage.

I would like to know is where is this network admin? is this in "A54" log on (or) where can i find this? could you please elloborate and let me know.

Hi Murugesh,

I have got the admin access and have done all the steps accordingly.

But here the problem i am facing is that after saving the setting in the administrator page. you said there will be folders created in the file directory. But i cant see any directory created in the directory.

Could you please let me know what is the problem and how to rectify this.

Things i have done:

1] Created ftp server (filezilla), created a user

2] Gave all the access from network administrator.

Problems:

1] Folder not created in the base directory.

2] How to connect to the server.

Kindly let me know so that i can try and make it function.
