SRM Product ID Search Help

HI Guys

We are working on SRM version 5.0 and while creating the shopping cart when we Click on the search button on Product ID field it gives a message " No values Found"

Inspite the we have materials in comm_Product Table.

I know the search help used is BBPH_PRODUCT and we are using a Y help internally .

The problem is the same help is working in Production client and not working in quality client.

Can some on throw light on this.

Thanks

Hi,

Are you maintaing the same Organization strucutre in both Quality and Production server?

If yes then check the logical systems assigned in attributes for responsibility tab. As well as is RFC connections working fine with this?

If attributes are correct then you can search all product catagory here.

Regards,

Navneet

HI

Additionally we found out that BBPV_F4PR_GEN

is not working in Quality and the same is working in Production server.

Can any throw a light as to what could be the reason BBPV_F4PR_GEN is failling.

Thanks

Hi

Which SRM version are you using ?

This might be due to some system bug (due to missing SAP OSS Note) or might be due to in-correct logic in search help..

The Standard product search (bbphproduct) uses the the search help - exit "BBP_F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_PRODUCT_GEN".So you need to replace this one with your custom FM.The std Product search uses the table view "BBPV_F4PR_GEN" to fetch all the materials to be displayed. So no RFC call is made to the Backend._

To read backend data, you can use function module METAMATERIAL_READ._
