Hi,

When i am trying to send a mail from SAP to external mail id (say gmail id) i am getting the following error message

No delivery to sowmya142004@gmail.com, as recipient unknown

Message no. XS802

Diagnosis

The message from the node could not be delivered to recipient as the recipient is unknown.

System Response

Processing was ended normally.

Additional information of the node used (in the system language of the node):

550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for

Procedure

Check the recipient address, correct if necessary and send the message to the correct address.

If the node is an SAP system, the address is not contained in address management or SAPoffice exception management. In this case, you should maintain the address here.

If the node is not an SAP system, you must maintain the address in the appropriate system.

Please help me solve this problem

Regards,

Sowmya

We have done the configuration as per the note 455140. Routing test is also successful. Still we are not able to send the mails to the external mail id.

Check the following in Exchange server:

1. the IP address in the acl list of exchange server

2. the relay permission for the user in exchange server

let us know the result

check once again: the sent type should be "U", to send mails for external Mail address, in SU01 for that user.

Thanks a lot. The problem got solved. It was to do with the relay permission for the user in exchange server.

Hi Soumya,

Please check the note 455140 for solving any of the SCOT configuration problem.

This is a very simple and clear cut note.

In your case: Check whether mail Address is specified in SU01 for the recepient user.

2. Node in use is checked in SMTP.

Hope this definitely solves your problem.

Cheers !!!

Satish Kumar.
