Dear all,

I'm installing Solution Manager 4.0 SR3 on Wins Server 2003 Standard 2003 x64 server in Windows Domain 2003. When trying to install SCS instance (in distributed system), I get error as following:

---

<i>WARNING[E] 2007-12-24 15:41:17.759

FSL-01001 Unable to check existence of account <Domain>\sapinstaller. Access is denied.

FSL-01062 Unable to get information about the current user. SOLUTION: If you are logged in as a domain user, check network access to a domain controller and your WINS configuration. If this does not help and you want to perform a purely local installation, i. e. you don't have to access any domain accounts you can use the following workaround: Create a local user, add it to the local Administrators group, log on as this user and start the installation again from scratch.

Of course user <Domain>\sapinstaller is a member of Local Administrators group. It's also member of Domain Users group. I also apply SAP Note 711319.

I've tested this with a testing domain w/o any problem, but in my real domain error occurs as above.

Any idea,

Thanks,

Toan Do

It's because strict policy of the domain. Just grant <Domain>\sapinstaller READ permission on Built-in container then it's OK.

Hello

I had exactly the same problem as described above. I even got the error with the domain admin. I manually created the GlobalAdmin group in AD and SAPINST continued and created the two remaining AD users by itself.

Best regards

Hi Toan,

You are performing a domain installation, hence your userid : sapinstaller

should have Domain Administration rights.
