1. What is the major difference between ecc and r/3 (in general)
2. Any major changes in sd module in ecc 6.0 in comparision to
R/3 4.7

we can find the difference through solution browser from service .sap.com
there is a facelity for putting in the SAP version and then the SAP will compare the things and give us the results.

Hi Rohith
well ECC is built up on Netweaver platform making it very simple to integrate with any Legacy system, While R/3 is based on WAS 6.20, ....6.40 whcih does not have complete integrated ERP , here you need to install additional packages such as CRM , etc if you want to use them ... but with ECC it comes as central component
For second Query check this

Hope this helps
Cheers
