What do you want to do? You want to reset your system?

Use the guide at

http://service.sap.com/systemcopy

It´s basically done using a script on the source system (alter database backup controlfile to trace), slightly modify it, recreating the instance and restoring a backup from the source system - pretty straightforward.

Markus, in my case we are forced to apply method R3load , (export and import) so... this solution is not useful...

Don't you know if there is any .R3S to only reload database for windows? ( for unix it exists..)

Thanks

Markus, this is exactly guide I'm following.

This guide, for method R3load, only say:

- Exporting using R3load

- Transfering files

- Installing ( from the begining) SAP Instance and then Loading database

This guide is very useful for a empty target hardware.

But in case of frequents refresh of database.... should be good a procedure only for reloading data. I'm asking for this...

thanks and

Well.. since 4.6c is out of maintenance I think you will need to live with the tools available.

According to note 155418 it´s only available for Linux. On Windows you have to choose:

- use export/import (including a new installation) or

- restore backups (using R3COPY/ORABRCOPY)
